Background: Saix is a survivor of the Avagnar Tribe of the Azim Steppe. As a teenager, he stole away on a boat after a massacre against his tribe perpetuated by the Adarkim Tribe, and made for Eorzea without really knowing where he would end up. In his time in Limsa Lominsa, he applied his knowledge of the lance and the axe to mercenary work, being adeptly skilled at such things as a Xaela warrior in training before his flight. In more recent years, he would turn his combat expertise to the Viper Style of fighting with twinblades, and now uses that as his primary method of engaging in combat. Saix’s unique lava-cracked scales and skin are the result of a forced fusion between himself and a Fire-aspected Voidsent, leading him to also gain knowledge of the Reaping Arts of the Garleans, though he now forbids their use in his presence.
In more recent years, he has taken up the task of rebuilding the Avagnar Tribe, with him as the Chieftain. He has managed to gather some few survivors, and others who were interested in their new Chieftain’s philosophy. Others migrated from dead tribes, or defections from those that tired of the endless warring of the Steppe. With that, Saix’s focus on the Reborn Avagnar is simple – an impenetrable defence guarding a closely-knit family. With that in mind, he wedded his Nhaama, Chce, after reuniting with her since the time that he worked at a religious institution as a practitioner of darker arts.
They now have a son, Soran, and most of Saix’s days are spent with his family and raising his son when he isn’t working to make coin to help his tribe rebuild.
One such way of making coin was working as a security mercenary at many clubs, bars and taverns across the realm. More often than not he has worked either for or alongside the Ametrine Family, or the House of De Clermont. Thus, he comes to Journey’s End in that capacity, working as their head Warden, and offering his services to patrons who may need assistance across the realm-at-large.
